Update at 16.09.11

A disappointing response from some local land owners who won't even agree to meet and discuss various options.
West Lothian Council also seem to be reluctant to move forward without local landowners approval and co-operation.
One more route to report back on to Bathgate Community Council which goes along Drumcross Rd and to Beecraigs past the Knock

Some parts of this route are even more narrow and have no space for a path on either side.

The Quiet Road report from 2004 is a very expensive option (priced at £75k + in 2004) which improves conditions for walkers around the Beecraigs park but doesn't address access for the public from the Bathgate area.

Further action to be considered is stepping up the campaign in the local media and putting pressure on West Lothian Council to protect and uphold our access rights.
